About the Walk
Enjoy an easy walk through Balboa Park with its variety of botanical gardens with roses, a lily pond and more. Beginning your walk at the park’s rose garden, don’t forget to stop and smell the roses! Stroll over Park Blvd on the pedestrian bridge, heading towards the water fountain. As you walk down the promenade look up to appreciate the beautiful architecture. Balboa Park offers a wide variety of things to do for all ages; there is something enjoyable for the whole family. It can be a fun filled adventure for kids, parents, couples and grandparents, visiting the water fountain to splash around in, the lily pond to check out the turtles and fish, Zoro garden to see the butterflies or peacefully walking through the rose garden appreciating the delicate aroma.
The distance of this walk is approximately one mile long and consists of primarily flat ground with minor elevation near the pedestrian bridge.
