Walk and talk #VisionZero on Friday, 8/21 with Circulate and its Vision Zero partner El Cajon Boulevard Business Improvement Association on El Cajon Blvd during the BLVD Market, a monthly outdoor pop-up foodie market organized by the Boulevard BIA. We'll walk on El Cajon Boulevard, a Vision Zero corridor, talk about how to make El Cajon Blvd more walkable and bikeable, and hear from business owners about the importance of safe streets. Join us!

Did you miss our last Vision Zero event? Our bike ride on Imperial Avenue was a success thanks to Vision Zero supporters and the San Diego Police Department for providing two bike officers to join our ride.
40 Under 40:
Circulate Staff Named to 2015 List 
SD Metropolitan Magazine has named Circulate's own Maya Rosas in its 40 Under 40 list for 2015! Maya works on Circulate San Diego's policy team on projects ranging from the Regional Walk Scorecard to Vision Zero while also writing a master's thesis on pedestrian risk in San Diego and serving as the secretary for the San Diego section of the American Planning Association. The 40 Under 40 list recognizes San Diego's outstanding young leaders annually in their magazine's September issue. Congratulations, Maya!
MOVE Alliance Endorsement:
5030 College Avenue Apartments
The MOVE Alliance provides certification for transit-oriented, smart growth projects in the San Diego region. By recognizing and supporting projects which meet the MOVE Alliance criteria, we can help to create complete communities, one project at a time.
The MOVE Alliance is pleased to announce its endorsement of 5030 College Avenue Apartments, a student housing project in the College Area proposed by Capstone Development Partners. The project provides housing close to the San Diego State University campus in a walkable, bikeable, transit-oriented, urban infill location.
5030 College Avenue Apartments aims to reduce the need to drive though a variety of strategies, including free transit passes for residents who purchase a parking space, a reward program for infrequent drivers, and several amenities for bicyclists. Specifically, the project shows its commitment to reducing car trips by providing secure storage for at least 91 bikes in a convenient location within the parking garage, secure bike racks at the building entrance for guests, and a bike share program for residents located at the building entrance.
