Effective communication and dissemination of critical information to residents in San Diego’s Promise Zone is a persistent challenge, especially for elderly residents and people with low incomes. Circulate San Diego, an organization that advocates for public transit, safe streets, and sustainable growth, is interested in what communication platforms or channels Promise Zone residents use to obtain critical COVID-19 information, especially depending on a resident’s age, access, and familiarity with technology.

In September 2020, Circulate launched a multi-media survey in partnership with the City of San Diego Economic Development Department to understand San Diego Promise Zone Residents preferences for how to receive information to guide communications strategies on COVID-19 response and recovery efforts and future initiatives.
