SAN DIEGO (July 9, 2019) – On Friday, a young man was hit and seriously injured by a driver going westbound on Genesee Ave. That same evening, a 68-year-old male pedestrian was killed when he was struck in a median on East San Ysidro Boulevard by a driver making a left turn. Both crashes are detailed in the San Diego Police Department’s Watch Commander’s Log.

Pedestrian Killed in Midway on Saturday

SAN DIEGO (June 1, 2019) –On Saturday night, a male pedestrian was killed when he entered Kurtz Street in the Midway neighborhood. The 79-year-old man was struck by a woman driving eastbound on Kutz. The crash is detailed in the San Diego Police Department’s Watch Commander’s Log.

"Even when human error occurs by either pedestrians or motorists, our streets should be designed to ensure errors are not fatal," said Oscar Medina, Project Manager for Circulate San Diego. “One death on San Diego’s streets is too many.”

Pedestrian Killed and Bicyclist Seriously Injured Over Weekend

SAN DIEGO (June 10, 2019) – On Friday, a bicyclist was hit and seriously injured by a driver pulling onto Rosecrans Street into the bike lane. On Saturday evening, a female pedestrian was killed when she entered W. Washington Street in Hillcrest into the path of two police cruisers.
