Vision Zero Symposium Next Thursday
Join us for the first Vision Zero Neighborhood Symposium next Thursday, September 29th, 5:30pm - 8:00pmat Bread & Salt. The Symposium is organized by a coalition of San Diego supporters for safe streets and will feature guest speakers and a panel to discuss the pressing issue of saving lives. Confirmed speakers include: Councilmember David Alvarez, County Public Health Officer Wilma Wooten, City Auditor Eduardo Luna, Representatives from Mayor Kevin Faulconer’s office, and Los Angeles’ Vision Zero Coordinator Nat Gale.
Attendance to the event is free but space is limited, please RSVP here. Childcare and delicious local tamales provided.

Pedestrian Safety Audit
San Diego’s City Auditor released a report last week outlining 18 recommendations the City can take to improve pedestrian safety and help save lives. The report finds that as the city moves forward with Vision Zero, it can better utilize existing data and leverage the experience of other cities to improve safety.
