On May 9, Circulate San Diego joined the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition and Climate Action Campaign in a coalition letter requesting increased funding for Vision Zero Projects in the Fiscal Year 2023 Budget.
Overall, funding for Vision Zero programs was cut by fourteen percent from last year. Funding for bicycle facilities was cut by sixty-nine percent.
If the City is going to achieve its target of eliminating traffic fatalities and serious injuries, it needs to invest appropriate resources in doing so.
