Circulate San Diego’s #TransitForFun initiative is all about using transit to access fun destinations in San Diego.
Transit for Fun is a program of Circulate San Diego determined to show the benefits of public transportation through organized outings where participants use the bus or trolley to have fun. Our goal is to show people, especially those who may have preconceived ideas about what riding public transportation is all about, that public transit can be useful, cost-effective, timely, and, fun!
Public transportation is not just for commuting to work. Anyone can use our region’s transit investments to access fun local businesses and entertainment all around the region. Riding transit when having fun comes with a variety of benefits:
- No need to find or pay for parking
- Lower carbon footprint
- Stress-free! Leave the driving to someone else
- Inexpensive
- No worries about driving safely if you enjoy a few local brews
