Take this 5-Minute Survey on COVID-19 Communication Preferences

Do you live in zip codes 92101, 92102, 92113, or 92114? If so, we’d like to hear from you!

Circulate is partnering with the City of San Diego to survey residents of the San Diego Promise Zone on their preferences for how to receive information to guide communications strategies on COVID-19 response, recovery efforts, and future initiatives.

Link to the survey is here: surveymonkey.com/r/sdcovidcomms20.

Age-Friendly National City Community Conversations – ONLINE!

Calling National City Residents!

After the completion of the project survey in August 2020, we learned a great deal about livability gaps and opportunities for livability improvements in National City. However, we want to learn more! Share your ideas, concerns, and stories about livability in National City by visiting the project webpage and participating in two interactive activities. This input, along with survey responses and future phases of outreach, will be used to create National City's first Age-Friendly Action Plan.

Access the Community Conversations activities by visiting the project webpage at: http://nationalcityca.gov/afnc

  Planning for Women

This week, our staff presented our womens’ mobility research at the MTS Public Security Committee. We shared data collected from our women’s walk audit series and online survey, conducted last year. Through these engagement activities, we asked women to share barriers they experience when interacting with the built environment at nighttime and what interventions might increase perceptions on safety when walking, biking, and taking public transportation after dark.

Thank you to Councilmember Monica Montgomery for inviting us.

Recommendations for Vision Zero Strategic Plan and Role of Enforcement

Circulate and members of the Vision Zero Coalition drafted a series of equity and enforcement recommendations for the VZ Five-Year Strategic Plan. We believe that San Diego can achieve the Vision Zero goal equitably. To do so, we must begin to rethink the role of police and enforcement in achieving Vision Zero. The pursuit of safer streets must not harm BIPOC in the name of ending traffic violence.

Seaport Sessions: San Diego in Motion // Featuring Danielle Berger

Our very own Director of Planning, Danielle Berger, was featured on the latest episode of Seaport Sessions: San Diego in Motion. On this episode, Danielle discussed the importance of active transportation and the future of active transit in San Diego.

Obviously, she did incredible and you should definitely take a listen here.

Have You Checked Your Voter Registration?

The November election is quickly approaching, so we thought it would be a good time to remind you to check your voter registration! Did you move this year or change your name? Don’t forget you have to re-register. Last day to register is October 19th.
