World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is part of a global effort to honor people killed and seriously injured in traffic crashes, support their families, and push for proven safety changes.
Join Families for Safe Streets San Diego and safe streets advocates for World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. This is a worldwide day to honor 1.35 million people killed each year in preventable traffic crashes and work for change.
In San Diego County, 538 people were killed in 2023 and 2024. Each memorial sign marks a real life lost and reminds us these deaths are preventable.
This year continues the work our community has done in past years. Families for Safe Streets San Diego will again work with partners across the region to remember, reflect, and take action.
