Buena Park Active Transportation Plan

Buena Park Active Transportation Plan

Circulate Planning & Policy supported KOA Corporation, a Lochner Company on the development of the Buena Park Active Transportation Plan. The goals of the project were to increase bicycle and pedestrian safety by improving infrastructure conditions, identifying and addressing gaps within the City's existing bicycle and pedestrian networks, and improving mobility access to transit, jobs, schools, parks, and other essential services. With funding from the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), the project team spent more than a year reviewing walking and biking conditions of every highway, arterial, collector, and local street within the City of Buena Park.

Circulate assisted in the outreach efforts of this project. This included marketing and logo creation, organizing and convening five (5) virtual and in-person stakeholder group meetings, administering a general and GIS-based survey, participating in six (6) community events to obtain resident feedback, and developing the stakeholder engagement chapter of the final plan.
