Cathedral City Active Transportation Plan

Cathedral City Active Transportation Plan

Circulate Planning & Policy supported IBI Group on the development of the Cathedral City Active Transportation Plan. The goal of the project was to review existing infrastructure and travel habits of the community to identify strategies, actions, and treatments that help create an environment that is safer and more comfortable for those to walk, bike, and take transit. With funding from the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), the project team spent more than a year reviewing walking, biking, and rolling conditions of every highway, arterial, collector, and local street within the City of Cathedral City.

Circulate assisted in the community engagement efforts of this project. This included conducting three (3) walk audits and one (1) bicycle audit, creating promotional materials to promote surveys, organizing stakeholder meetings, participating in four (4) community events to collect resident feedback, and developing the community engagement chapter of the final plan.
