January 20th Membership Mixer with Council President Elo-Rivera
Join Circulate San Diego for our first 2022 Membership Mixer on January 20th, hosted at HG Fenton’s BLVD North Park, on their beautiful terrace.
We’ll have a fun evening with our diverse and engaged membership for networking, free drinks, music, and celebrations. Mingle with Circulate staff members, local decision makers, and professionals in the land use and transportation space.
The event will feature remarks from special guest, Council President Sean Elo-Rivera.

This Sunday, January 9, from 10am – 2pm, come explore Downtown Encinitas FREE of cars! The Coast Highway 101 will be closed to automobile traffic from D Street to J Street in order to allow cyclists, skaters, and pedestrians access local businesses on open streets. There will be games, music, and activities!

Letter: Support for Vision Zero and Quick Build Network
Circulate submitted a letter urging City Council members to include additional funding for the Safe and Sustainable Transportation All Ages and Abilities Team (STAT team) to create additional quick build bikeways in San Diego.
These bikeways should be prioritized in the areas where the most injuries and deaths occur. In addition, they should form a network that offers bicyclists of all ages and abilities safe paths throughout the urban core, and serve as a proof of concept for future projects throughout the city.

Solana Beach Safe Routes To School (SRTS) Assessments
For those who have been following our progress on the City of Solana Beach Safe Routes to School (SRTS) mobility assessments, we are pleased to announce that we wrapped up our final two assessments in December 2021. These assessments helped identify issues relating to student drop-off and pick-up that may make it unsafe or uncomfortable for students to walk, bike, or roll to and from school.
After completing audits at Fusion Academy and the Boys and Girls Club, we were able to prepare reports for each of the eight public and private schools within the city limits of Solana Beach. Each report contains descriptive details on the walking, biking, and driving environments surrounding the schools along with visuals and mapped representations of our site observations. Our project partners will review these reports, and then they will be distributed to the city and the schools.
We’ll definitely miss getting to roam around beautiful Solana Beach, but we’ll be back in the city soon enough to complete a few SRTS outreach events—so stay tuned!
