Join Circulate San Diego and the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition for a special joint Membership Mixer on March 19th, 2020. The mixer will be hosted at San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, 300 15th Street, San Diego, CA 92101.

This unique event will exhibit the great work both organizations completed for the Move Free SD program and will feature special guest Councilmember Chris Ward.

AB 2345 is modeled after a successful policy in San Diego. It would expand state Density Bonus Law by increasing the incentives for a housing project to provide an increased percentage of permanently affordable homes.

You can find out more about AB 2345 and the program at our landing page at http://www.circulatesd.org/ab2345.

What’s Next For Cortez?

We look forward to continuing work with Cortez residents, the Downtown San Diego Partnership, and the City of San Diego to further improve pedestrian safety and overall travel experience in Cortez.

Over the next few months, we will be working with residents and rolling out projects in Cortez. Be sure to take a stroll around the neighborhood and check out what we’re working on!

10-Minute Neighborhoods - INTRA Connect Project in National City

On February 18th, National City's City Council adopted the Integrating Neighborhoods with Transportation Routes for All Plan, or INTRA-Connect for short. The plan focuses on the development of 10-minute neighborhoods, a concept that encourages in-fill development, enhanced transit use, and increased multi-modal transportation. 10-minute neighborhoods reduce the distance people need to travel to their destinations while providing sustainable transportation alternatives to access those destinations. This in turn, creates more livable communities while reducing carbon emissions at the neighborhood level.

Circulate San Diego was the lead outreach consultant on this project and worked with KTUA and City staff to engage over 400 residents during the 2-years. The project team used a mix of digital and analog outreach tools and strategies to gain valuable feedback from the community including workshops, community events, and online surveys that directly informed the final recommendations presented in the plan.
