Intro Spotlight: Danielle Berger

  Our next Membership Mixer on September 12th at Civita! 

Join Circulate San Diego for our next Membership mixer on September 12, hosted at Civita, at their beautiful residential recreation center. Civita is a walkable master-planned community in the heart of Mission Valley. 

We will be joined for remarks from San Diego City Councilmember Scott Sherman, who has led on housing supply and accessory dwelling unit policy. 

The event will also feature the release of our latest report on the impact of Facilitating Access to Coordinated Transportation (FACT), a nonprofit agency designated by SANDAG to coordinate public, nonprofit, private and other transportation services in San Diego County.

September 20th is Park(ing) Day!

Circulate San Diego will celebrate this years Park(ing) day with our partners The Downtown San Diego Partnership and Lyft.

What is park(ing) day? For one day only, community members, students, and designers are encouraged to transform traditional metered parking spaces into unique temporary public spaces, called ‘parklets.’  

Join us at the corner of B St and Seventh St in front of San Diego’s famous Donut Bar on September 20thStop by between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm for music, games, and fun.  

When: September 20th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm

A Walk Audit in Cortez Hill 

On August 24th, Circulate led a walk audit in Cortez Hill with residents, in partnership with The Downtown San Diego Partnership and the Cortez Hill Active residents Group (CHARG). The intent of the walk audit was to identify areas of concern for bicyclists and pedestrians in Cortez Hill and discuss potential recommendations to improve safety and the user experience. 

Circulate will host a community meeting on September 23rd at 6 pm in the Discovery Ballroom to recap findings from the walk audit and collect additional community feedback. If you are a Cortez Hill resident, we hope you can join us at this event!   


Take a Ride on the Orange Line: Trolley Dances are Coming!

ALL ABOARD! 

The most popular dance event in San Diego is returning to a trolley station near you.  

Trolley Dances, presented by San Diego Dance Theater in partnership with MTS, will be charming local trolley riders for the 21st straight year. See six world premiere dances featuring an international team of choreographers and dancers. 

When:September 28th & 29th and October 5th & 6th

Where: Tours begin at Park 12 Apartments, near the 12th & Imperial Station and last approximately 2 ½ hours
