Circulate and our coalition partners sent a letter with recommendations that MTS update its parking policies for joint-development of the agency's properties. The recommendations are that existing projects be allowed as designed without additional parking requirements, and that MTS adjust its joint-development policy to clarify parking requirements. Those requirements should at a maximum require only parking to serve the existing demand. In addition, projects in pedestrian and transit friendly areas, or that include pedestrian and transit friendly features, should be able to proceed with even less parking.
