Bike the Bayshore Bikeway and visit businesses, sites, and neighborhoods around the Bay!
Explore the Shore is a month-long biking event in April 2021 to encourage residents to bike the Bayshore Bikeway (BSBW), one of San Diego’s safest, longest, and most scenic bikeways. Different than other Bayshore events, the intent of this event is to integrate communities around the Bayshore into the biking experience. The event route will call attention to local businesses and scenic places around the BSBW.
Grab a friend, a family member, or enjoy the ride as a solo activity - there is something to see and experience for everyone. The Bayshore Bikeway is a 24-mile bicycle circuit with 13 miles of car-free bicycle paths and a number of scenic and culinary highlights. The Explore the Shore route is customizable, allowing all ages and abilities to have a fun, safe, and enjoyable experience.
- Silver Strand Beach
- South Bay National Wildlife Refuge
- Chula Vista Bayfront Park

We'll be partnering with businesses along the route with bike parking so that participants can add fun stops to their biking adventure. If you are a business that is interested in being involved in this event, please contact Angelica Rocha at [email protected].
