Special Guest
We are pleased to announce that we will be joined by Senator Catherine Blakespear.
Senator Blakespear, elected in 2022 as state senator for California's 38th District, has focused on housing, transit, and biking in her legislative efforts. With a background in local government as the Mayor of Encinitas and City Council member, she has worked to increase affordable housing, improve public transportation infrastructure, and enhance biking facilities. Blakespear chairs the Senate Transportation Subcommittee on LOSSAN Rail Corridor Resiliency, aiming to support the vital rail line from San Diego to San Luis Obispo. She authored six bills in 2023 that were signed into law, and actively engages with her community through various events and initiatives.
