Circulate submitted a letter in support of the County of San Diego's FY26 BUILD Grant Application for a Regionwide Prioritized Intersection and Corridor Safety Improvements Project. The County’s proposed project directly addresses pressing safety concerns in the region by implementing critical infrastructure improvements at high-risk corridors and intersections identified in the County’s Safety Action Plan. These locations, recognized as known conflict points, have not yet been addressed and include:
- Blossom Lane (Sweetwater Road to Folkestone Street): Replace the temporary walkway with permanent sidewalks and install bike lanes
- Jamacha Road (Elketon Boulevard to Osage Drive): Implement roadway safety improvements, including the addition of sidewalks and bike lanes
- Intersection of Darby Road and Jamacha Road: Install traffic signal, new pedestrian crosswalk striping, and ADA-compliant curb ramps
