Circulate San Diego submitted a letter in support of the City of National City's submission of the National City Boulevard Smart Growth Revitalization Project for a SANDAG Smart Growth Incentive grant. The project proposes to construct traffic calming, pedestrian safety, and beautification improvements along a portion of the National City Boulevard corridor in Downtown National City. The primary purpose of the project is to provide downtown National City with safety and walkability improvements that ultimately enhance transit use. Notably, this project would improve safety and accessibility to the nearby 8th Street Transit Center as well as enhance existing bus stops locations along the 929 MTS bus route.
