Circulate San Diego, the SDPD, and Logan Elementary Celebrate International Walk to School Day
SAN DIEGO, CA - On the morning of October 4, 2017, Logan Elementary students and families will join Circulate San Diego and the San Diego Police Department to celebrate International Walk to School Day. Students will gather near campus to form a “Walking School Bus” and be safely guided to school by parent volunteers.
When: Wednesday, October 4, 2017. Walking starts at 7:30 AM
Where: “Walking School Bus” Meeting Location: Memorial Park, 30th Street and Ocean View Blvd. We will walk to Logan Elementary School, 2875 Ocean View Blvd, San Diego, CA 92113.
Who: Students of Logan Elementary participating in International Walk to School Day and the Walking School Bus.
Why: On Walk to School Day, the school and community will work together to make the trip to school safer for students, promote physical activity and engage the entire community in active transportation. Studies show that students who walk to school are more physically active during the day and have better academic achievement, enhanced concentration and better classroom behavior.
