Circulate Planning & Policy supported KTUA on the development of the Montebello First Mile Last Mile Master Plan. The goal of the plan was to help improve pedestrian and bicycle connections to and from transit stops. Improvements to traffic calming infrastructure and access to transit should help increase ridership volumes and make streets safer for all road users. With funding from the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), the project team spent more than a year reviewing existing conditions around transit stops within the City of Montebello.
Circulate assisted in the outreach efforts of this project. This included conducting ten (10) walk audits and two (2) bicycle audits, marketing and logo creation, organizing and convening six (6) stakeholder meetings, participating in three (3) community events to collect resident feedback, creating an educational video, and developing the community outreach engagement chapter of the final plan.
