Policy Letter: Vision Zero Coalition Writes in Support of Encinitas Red-Light Camera Proposal

The Vision Zero Coalition sent a letter to the Encinitas City Council urging adoption of a proposal to pilot a red-light camera program. Right-light cameras are known to significantly reduce reckless and dangerous driving behavior. The program would be established under SB 720, new legislation overhauling the state's Red-Light Camera framework with improved liability and oversight provisions.
