You've heard of Safe Routes to School, but have you heard of Safe Routes to Parks? The Circulate Planning team is conducting a three-part walk audit series to assess the roadway conditions surrounding selected parks for the safety and comfort of bicyclists and pedestrians. To select priority parks, Circulate conducted a crash analysis to find San Diego parks with the highest number of serious injuries and fatalities within a half mile radius from 2016-2020. You're invited! Come join us on the walk audits to help collect data and share your experiences.
We will be surveying the following parks:
• Kennedy Neighborhood Park
• Teralta Park
• Colina del Sol Park
Join us for the final Safe Routes to Parks walk audit on Thursday, August 4th at Colina del Sol Park between the Normal Heights and City Heights neighborhoods. We will be meeting at the northeast corner of 52nd Street & 52nd Place at 4PM. Look for our safety vests and clip boards!
