Circulate San Diego is fighting for fair and open access to San Diego’s community planning process. Can you support our reform efforts with a donation?

Almost two years ago we released our report Democracy in Planning, with common sense recommendations for how to make the planning process more fair. Last week, all of our recommendations were supported for adoption by the City of San Diego’s Land Use and Housing Committee.

Supported recommendations include:

  • People who want to run for their community planning group (CPG) should not have to attend more than one CPG meeting before the election – currently some require up to three!
  • In person voting in the CPG election should be open for at least two hours
  • Gather relevant demographic data of CPG board members through a survey

Do you want the City Council to adopt CPG reform? To ensure that we are able to continue advocating for democratizing CPGs, please consider making a donation
