In partnership with San Diego State University’s School of Public Affairs, Circulate invites you to a walking field trip of SDSU's campus and Montezuma Road on August 19th at 2:00 pm. We’ll meet in front of the Aztec Student Union (5500 Campanile Dr, San Diego, CA 92182). Look for people in yellow vests!
This 1.5-mile walk will focus on conflict areas for pedestrians, skateboarders, scooters, and bicyclists. Participants will observe these critical areas firsthand and provide feedback on improving infrastructure and safety using a walk audit tool.
Transit to Aztec Student Union
Green Line:
- If you are coming from East County, board a Green Line trolley headed to 12th and
Imperial Station and disembark at the SDSU Transit Center. It is the only underground
station, so you can’t miss it! - If you are coming from Downtown, Old Town, or Mission Valley board a Green Line
trolley headed to Santee or SDSU and disembark at the SDSU Transit Center. -
Free Parking at these transit stops for park and ride: Old Town, Morena/Linda Vista,
Fashion Valley, Hazard Center, Mission Valley Center, Grantville, 70th Street, Amaya
Drive, El Cajon Transit Center, Arnele Avenue, and Santee.
Blue Line:
- If you are coming from La Jolla, board a Blue Line trolley headed to San Ysidro or
America Plaza, disembark at Old Town Transit Center and transfer to a Green Line
trolley headed to Santee. Disembark at the SDSU Transit Center. - If you are coming from the South Bay/Chula Vista, board a Blue Line trolley headed to UTC or
America Plaza. Disembark at 12th and Imperial Station and walk to the Green Line trolley
(follow the directional signage). Disembark at the SDSU Transit Center. -
Free Parking at these transit stops for park and ride: Nobel Drive, Balboa Avenue,
Tecolote Road, Old Town Transit Center, 8th Street, 24th Street, Bayfront/ E Street, H
Street, Palomar Street, Palm Avenue, Iris Avenue, and Beyer Blvd.
Orange Line:
- If your stop is between Spring Street - 47th Street, please board the Orange Line headed to
Arnele Avenue and disembark at the Grossmont Transit Stop where you will transfer
onto the Green Line headed to 12th and Imperial and disembark at the SDSU Transit
Center. - If your stop is one of the Commercial Streets (25th or 32nd), board the Orange Line
headed to the Courthouse and disembark at 12th and Imperial Transit Center where you
will transfer to the Green Line headed to Santee; disembark at SDSU Transit Center. - Free Parking at these transit stops for park and ride: 47th Street, Euclid Avenue,
Encanto/62nd Street, Massachusetts Avenue, Spring Street, Grossmont Transit Center,
Amaya Drive, Arnele Avenue, and El Cajon Transit Center.
Bus:
- If you are coming from Downtown to Viejas Arena take Bus 11*
- If you are coming from Lake Murray take Bus 14
- Coming from National City take Bus 955*
- If you are coming from Cuyamaca College (Rancho San Diego) take Bus 856*
- If you are coming from Spring Valley take Bus 936*
- Mid-City Rapid Bus 215* (Downtown, North Park, and City Heights starting at Santa Fe Depot)
- If you are coming from El Cajon Transit Center take 115*
* = The bus’s last stop on its route is SDSU Transit Center
Once you get to the SDSU Transit Center:
- If you come by trolley- Take the stairs or elevator up to MTS bus stops on the top level
- If you come by Bus: walk to the Student Union
The Aztec Student Union is right beside the SDSU Transit Center!
