CSD Board Chair Co-Authors Op-Ed on MTS Parking Report

Circulate San Diego Board Chair, Gabriel Gutierez, and affordable housing developer, Ginger Hitzke, published an Op-Ed on Voice of San Diego, calling on MTS to adopt the recommendations of our MTS Parking report, "Real Opportunity."

The report details that MTS has at least 57 acres of property that can be made available for development. With accommodating land use policies, Circulate San Diego calculates that the MTS properties can support the development of 8,000 new homes, with more than 3,000 reserved as permanently affordable for low-income families.

Bike to Work Day 2018: Circulate SD Pit Stop!

BikeToWorkDay2018.jpg

Circulate San Diego hosted one of the 100 pit stops around San Diego County for Bike to Work Day 2018! We teamed up with Imperial Grounds Coffee on Imperial Avenue to set up a pop-up parklet for cyclists to visit on their commute to work. We had a great time handing out swag, sipping on coffee, and meeting all of the cyclists. Bike to Work Day is a great way to draw attention to alternative transportation methods for commuting and creates the opportunity to celebrate those who select to use a bicycle as their mode of choice. The Circulate SD team at the pit stop was joined by SANDAG staff, who were there to provide information about bicycle improvements along Imperial Avenue. If you are interested in learning more or receiving updates about the project, you can visit the project webpage, here.

Circulate San Diego enjoyed co-hosting this event and looks forward to participating next year. To check out more photos from the event, visit our photo album on Facebook!
