Celebration for 30th Street Bicycle Lanes
Circulate San Diego partnered with other advocacy organizations to celebrate the installation of the 30th Street Bicycle lanes on Sunday, August 1st. The event drew hundreds of community members who were ready to enjoy the safety and convenience of these new bicycle facilities. City of San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria and SANDAG board chairperson Catherine Blakespear both attended and committed to improving the process by which SANDAG and the City approve bicycle lanes.
We collected photos from the event in an album which you can see here.
Vision Zero Signage Install
Have you seen these signs up around San Diego? We just installed Round 2 of new educational signage as part of the region’s Vision Zero campaign to reduce traffic related fatalities and severe injuries. These signs explain how to use lead pedestrian intervals, rectangular reflective flashing beacons, roundabouts, and no-turn blank out signs. Be on the lookout for them!
