Coalition Letter: MTS Joint-Development Parking Policy Update

Circulate and our coalition partners sent a letter on Monday with recommendations that MTS update its parking policies for joint-development of the agency's properties. The recommendations are that existing projects be allowed as designed without additional parking requirements, and that MTS adjust its joint-development policy to clarify parking requirements.

Climate and Housing goals are hindered when MTS requires more parking than necessary, as Circulate stated on KPBS Evening Edition.

At a meeting on Thursday, the MTS Board voted to approve the Palm Avenue joint-development project with no additional parking.
