City of Chula Vista Pedestrian Audit Reports (FY 2025-26)

Harborside Elementary School

This audit was coordinated with Harborside Elementary School. This audit was hosted on April 13, 2026 and had a group of 10 people. The pedestrian audit was attended by Circulate Planning & Policy, Harborside Elementary parents, City of Chula Vista’s Engineering Department, and staff from Harborside Elementary.

Harborside Elementary is located in the western portion of the City of Chula Vista, along the I-5 freeway. The audit route took place along: Naples Street, Broadway, and Industrial Boulevard. Between 2020-2024, there were 10 pedestrians injured, 1 pedestrian killed, and 9 bicyclists injured within a quarter mile of the audit route. On April 17th, 2025, 74 year old Romiel Gregory Singho was killed by a driver while walking across the intersection of 4th Avenue and Naples Street, two blocks away from our audit route.
