Circulate San Diego, MTS, San Diego Airport Authority, San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Downtown San Diego Partnership have partnered to bring Fly the 992, a unique event focused on public transportation to the San Diego International Airport. The event will include lunch, MTS Elevate 2020 programming, a transit ride on a new zero-emissions bus to the airport along the 992 airport bus route, and a tour by San Diego Airport Authority Staff.

Circulate San Diego Supports Safe Streets in Chula Vista with Traffic Calming Pop Up at Starlight Children’s Faire

Council Committee Overwhelmingly Supports Community Planning Group Reforms Following Circulate Recommendations and Press Conference

San Diego (December 5, 2019) – The San Diego Land Use and Housing Committee voted unanimously to support 31 meaningful reforms to Community Planning Groups that would unlock greater democratic participation in community planning, increase training, and streamline the development review process.

Press Conference: Supporters of Democratizing Community Planning Groups  Rally for Reforms Ahead of Key Hearing

Circulate San Diego will host a press conference with community members and stakeholders in support of Community Planning Group reform ahead of a pivotal committee hearing on Thursday. A special Land Use and Housing Committee hearing will review recommended reforms to the City of San Diego’s Community Planning Groups, following reports released by Circulate San Diego, the San Diego County Grand Jury, and the San Diego City Auditor detailing serious concerns with the structure of Community Planning Groups, which are the City’s official advisory community groups on all issues relating to land use, transportation, and housing.

In keeping with our tradition of interviewing new team members, we asked our new Intern, Eli Lechman, a few questions so that you all can get to know him! 

Circulate San Diego and the Chamber of Commerce wrote Mayor Faulconer's office to express their views on the City's review and possible amendments to its regulations on Shared Mobility Devices (SMD) and submitted for consideration.

SDSU Mission Valley Earns Circulate Mobility Certification for Transit-Oriented Plan

SAN DIEGO – The nonprofit think tank Circulate San Diego awarded its Mobility Certification to SDSU Mission Valley, a transit-oriented and sustainable plan proposed for Mission Valley. The Mobility Certification is a program to recognize and support transit-oriented, smart growth proposals in the San Diego region.

Circulate San Diego signed on to a letter to California State Transportation Agency Secretary David S. Kim with support for the Draft 2020 Interregional Transportation Improvement Program (ITIP). The ITIP prioritizes investment for shovel-ready mobility projects that will increase transportation options for all Californians.
