This walk audit was conducted in coordination with RideSD. This walk was hosted on March 16, 2024 and had a group of 14 people. The group included Circulate staff, RideSD, and interested participants.
Clairemont Drive Station is a Blue Line Trolley stop located in the City of San Diego, and it is next to Mission Bay Park and Interstate 5. The walking route took place along: Morena Boulevard, Ingulf Street, Denver Street, Clairemont Drive, and Mission Bay Drive. Between 2018-2022, there were 2 pedestrian fatalities, 1 pedestrian injury, and 4 bicycle injuries within a quarter mile of the walking route. Recently, on October 14th, 2023, a 72-year-old bicyclist was injured by a driver while riding through the intersection of Mission Bay Drive and Clairemont Drive.
