This bicycle audit was conducted in collaboration with BikeSD and interested participants. This audit was hosted on June 28, 2025 and had a group of 19 people. The group included Circulate San Diego, BikeSD, and other interested cyclists.
The audit route took place along: Florida Street, Meade Avenue, 30th Street, Polk Avenue, Howard Avenue, and Park Boulevard. Between 2019-2023, there were 45 pedestrian injuries, 3 pedestrian fatalities, and 27 bicyclist injuries within a quarter mile of the audit route. On August 11th, 2021, a 28-year-old cyclist was struck and injured by a driver in a broadside collision while biking through the intersection of Florida Street and Howard Avenue at 3:30pm.
