This audit was coordinated with Feaster Charter School. This audit was hosted on April 8, 2025 and had a group of 18 people. The group specifically observed conditions during Feaster Charter’s drop-off hours. The pedestrian audit was attended by Circulate San Diego, Feaster Charter families, City of Chula Vista’s Engineering Department, Chula Vista Elementary School District staff, and staff from Feaster Charter.
Feaster Charter is located in the northwestern portion of the City of Chula Vista. The audit route took place along: Flower Street, Broadway, F Street, Woodlawn Avenue, E Street, and Jefferson Avenue. Between 2019-2023, 29 pedestrians injured, 1 pedestrian killed, and 9 bicyclists injured. Just four days prior to this audit, 66-year-old Susie Gonzalez was killed
by a 94-year-old driver while walking across the intersection of E Street and Woodlawn Avenue.
