This walk audit was conducted in coordination with the San Diego Housing Federation as they were hosting their annual Housing Conference in the City of San Diego. We had a group of 40 people join us on this walk. The group included Circulate staff, San Diego Housing Federation staff, and various invitees from the Housing Conference.
The walking route was situated on two high-injury corridors: Commercial Street and Cesar Chavez Parkway. Between 2017-2022, there were 6 pedestrian fatalities, 61 pedestrian injuries, and 36 bicycle injuries within a quarter mile of the walking route.
