This walk audit was conducted around Nobel Drive Station near UC San Diego's campus. We had a group of 14 people join us on this walk. The group included Circulate staff, representatives of City Council of Districts 1 and 6, UCSD students, KPBS reporters, and local residents. The walk was documented by KPBS and aired on their news channel on September 18, 2023.
The walking route was situated on two high-injury corridors: Nobel Drive and Villa La Jolla Drive. Between 2017-2022,there were 1 pedestrian fatality, 7 pedestrian injuries, and 6 bicycle injuries within a quarter mile of the walking route.
