This pedestrian audit was conducted in coordination with Montgomery Middle School. This audit was hosted on February 26, 2026 and had a group of 29 people. The group included Circulate Planning & Policy, Montgomery Middle’s Associated Student Body students, their teacher, and the school’s principal.
Muirlands Middle School is located in the Linda Vista neighborhood in the City of San Diego. The audit route took place along: Ulric Street, Linda Vista Road, Comstock Street and Fulton Street. Between 2020-2024, there were seven bicyclists injured and 17 pedestrians injured within a quarter mile of the route. On November 28, 2023, a 16-year-old skateboarder was killed by a driver while crossing the intersection of Genesee Avenue and Osler Street. Later, on February 3, 2025, a 16-year-old bicyclist was injured when a driver turning right struck them as they rode straight along Ulric Street south of Linda Vista Road.
