This pedestrian audit was conducted in coordination with Valencia Park Elementary. This audit was hosted on May 12, 2026 and had a group of 22 people. The group included Circulate Planning & Policy and Valencia Park Elementary School’s Safety Patrol and staff.
The audit route took place along: Skyline Drive, Valencia Parkway, S 61st Street, and Omeara Street. Between 2020-2024, there were two pedestrians injured and one pedestrian killed within a quarter mile of the route. On May 29, 2023, a 13-year-old pedestrian was struck by a driver while using the crosswalk at the intersection of Valencia Parkway and Skyline Drive. On December 28, 2024, a 69-year-old pedestrian using a walker was struck and killed by a driver while crossing the street near O’Farrell Charter School.
